Christmas may have put a delay on my work, but I have managed so far to remain on schedule. I finished the last drawing for the month a couple days ago and now have time to start working on the next update. I will have it finished within the month, for sure.
For the first update in the live updates, I went with a rather complex and frequently requested feature. Keyboard controls for combat! From my testing, everything *seems* to be working. I will have the combat tutorial include the keyboard command instructions soon, but for now you can move the cursor with the mouse, or with the arrow keys. Clicking the mouse, or pressing the conversation advance keys will select the spell. At that point, you can select your target by clicking on it/them, or by pressing left and right on the keyboard until the monster/character is highlighted and then clicking or pressing the conversation advance key again.
If you would like to get in on live updates, it is available for patrons at the $3.00 rank or above. You can check out the campaign and all the bonuses you can get here: https://www.patreon.com/Changer?ty=h

0.17 Walkthrough
The game can be fairly non-linear at points, and some events are entirely independent of others, so it is fairly difficult to really make a walkthrough to cover everything. I am going to try my best to cover the paths that you can end up locking yourself out of though. There will be a lot of spoilers ahead.
Do note that this walkthrough is for 0.17, and may not be complete for later versions.
Heroic Plotline:
This plotline is revolves around the Main Character attempting to use their powers for good. As you are not drawing attention to yourself by building a Harem, Mr. Drape will begin his plan to turn the school's student body into his idea of perfect students, starting with your friend, Val.
To get on this plot line, you will need to avoid making any character your slave. This does not mean you cannot use your magic on other students, strictly speaking, but you will need to avoid outright enslaving anyone.
In the tutorial, most of your choices just influence Val's opinion of you. The major decisions you need to watch out for are after obtaining your magic; you can choose to test your magic on her, or on a monster. Using your magic on Val will subsequently lead to a choice on whether or not to keep her under your control. Choosing to keep her will lock you out of this plot line!
Once you return from the Dungeon, you will be free to roam the school and trigger most scenes in any order. You should visit the Mr. Drape's room to get Sarah to join your party, and Jane's room to get permission to enter the dungeon. You can enter Dr. Tiff's room at any time, but you might as well do it now to get it out of the way for later.
If you talk to Val in the hallway, you have a chance to enslave her, but that will lock you out of the plotline. Trying to enslave her, and failing will instead have Val leave your party but will not lock you out.
The next major plot point of this plot line starts when you have reached the Fourth Floor of the dungeon. At this point, a new conversation with Val will become available. She is now dressed almost exactly like Mr. Drape, and insists that it was her idea. The next conversation takes place in Dr. Tiff's room, where you can report Val's condition to her.
Jane will then meet you in the hallway outside of Dr. Tiff's room appearing to know a little too much about Val's condition. She offers to help, and will wait for you in her room. After accepting Jane's offer, you will need to make sure Sarah is in your active party, and visit Val in Dr. Tiff's room in order to enter Val's mind.
The first floor of Val's mind is meant to vaguely resemble a roller skating rink, and is populated by sentient Roller Blades. Find the pulsating Sigil to go to the next floor. The second floor vaguely resembles a diner, and if you attempted and failed to enslave Val a new enemy resembling a broken heart will appear in battles now. Find the pulsating Sigil to reach the inner-most part of Val's mind and fight the boss guarding it.
Once you have defeated the boss, you will be instructed to cast a long-lasting spell in order to bind Val's soul to your magic, and prevent Mr. Drape's magic from being able to bind to her again. You have several choices at this point:
Suppression: This will enslave Val, and result in your path changing from the Heroic path to the Tempted Hero path. (No scenes have been made for this path yet)
Confusion: This will permanently bimbofy Val. She will not count as your slave, so you can continue the heroic path if you cast this spell.
Grapple: This will permanently turn Val into her Goth personality, and give her a sudden, new interest in bondage. She will not count as your slave, so you can continue the heroic path if you cast this spell. (Discovered a bug with this spell after already starting on the next update. It will work properly in 0.17)
Charm: This will amplify Val's feelings for the main character, and make her permanently in love with your character, regardless of your other romantic interests. She will not count as your slave here either, so you can continue the heroic path if you cast this spell.
Boost: Boost can improve the body in any way, which the main character normally uses for healing. If used here, you will make an imperceivable change to Val's body in order to bind her soul without side-effects.
Once you have left Val's mind, you need to enter Dr. Tiff's room one more time to check Val out from her care. You can put Val back into your party in your room after this scene concludes, and this is the end of the heroic path for now.
Faculty Control Path:
The first thing you need for this path is to enslave Val. You can do this by choosing to test your magic on her, continue casting on her after she warns you to stop, and then keeping her. Alternatively, you can enslave her when she talks to you at the school by casting Confusion, then Suppression on her.
If you enslave Sarah prior to reaching the first note, you can also Enslave Val by having Sarah in her "Eager to Please" form when you touch the note. In the cutscene that follows, you can cast Confusion, then Suppression on her to break her will.
Go into the dungeon, and explore a bit. Find the note on the Third Floor, and attend the first Secret Class with Ms. Rack. Once you have finished, you can enter the library to the right of the dungeon to meet Julia. Do not enslave her. You can make any choices in this conversation you like; you will either agree to help her, or leave the possibility of helping her open.
Once Val has reached lvl 4, you can return to the school and enter Ms. Rack's room where there will be a scene in which she will ask you about Val's odd behavior. You can tell her the truth, or lie to her. This decision will have an impact on her opinion of you, but neither choice will prevent you from enslaving her.
If you have not already, your next target should be to find the second note, located in the top left room of the Fifth Floor. Julia will not allow you to play with her yet, but after giving this note to her, she will allow you to play with your other slaves, and she will tell you Ms. Rack's weakness.
When you return to your room, talking to Val will give you a choice on whether to give her the plan, or wait. If you have not yet made her into the personality you want her to be during the next scene, this is your last chance to change her. When you tell her the plan, the next time you talk to her will trigger the scene with Ms. Rack.
Important decisions:
There are a couple ways to fail this scene and end up Ms. Rack's slave. If you want to avoid them; or deliberately seek them out they are:
1: Have Val be in her normal personality and tell Ms. Rack to have a make-out fight with her. Val's hesitance to make out with her Aunt will lead to her failing the "battle" and Ms. Rack turning her against you.
2: Have Val be in her Bimbo personality, and tell Ms. Rack to have a make-out fight with you. Val's bimbo form is unreliable, and she ends up spiking both of your drinks, causing you to be too tipsy to resist Ms. Rack's power.
Student Control Path
There is very little to this path so far. It begins when you have enslaved at least 2 characters, and have not started the Heroic Path. When you visit Jane, she will confront you about your use of your powers on other students.
She is not angry with you, however. For some reason, she wants you to keep using your powers; just a little more discreetly. She even offers to help you hone your powers for purposes that the stuck-up Mr. Drape would never allow.
Individual Enslavements
Val:
1: During your first trip into the dungeon, if you test your magic on her, and keep going at every prompting she will become your slave.
2: During your first random conversation with Val in the school, you can cast Confusion on her, then Suppression to enslave her. If you do not cast Confusion, she will leave your party.
3: If you have Sarah enslaved and in her Needy form, and both Sarah and Val in your party at the time, Val will notice and question her behavior. You can enslave Val by casting confusion, then suppression in this conversation.
Sarah:
In order to meet Sarah, you need to attend Mr. Drape's first class.
1: After attending Mr. Drape's class, and Dr. Tiff's class, Sarah will appear in the hallway, still affected by Mr. Drape's curse. She's twisted her ankle trying to walk without using her arms for balance, and needs someone to help her out. You can either use suppression at any time to force her under your control, or you can offer to heal her, then cast suppression instead of boost for a different scene.
2: If you refuse to heal Sarah in the hallway, she will come after you on the streets. During this conversation, if you have enslaved Val already, you can enslave her at any time, or you can goad her into attacking you first for a different scene. If Val is not your slave, she will stop you from enslaving her.
3: If you have Val enslaved and in her slave form, and both Sarah and Val in your party at the time, Sarah questions Val's behavior. You can choose to either admit to putting Val under your control which will cause Sarah to challenge you to enslave her to prove that you are lying, or you can cast confusion, then suppression on her at any time.
Julia:
1: After you have attended your first secret class, Julia appears in the library. When talking to her for the first time, at any time you can use the confusion spell on her, followed by Suppression to make her your slave.
Ms. Rack:
See faculty control path
Cassandra:
In order to meet Cassandra, you need to upset her. You can accomplish this by either being friends with free-willed Sarah, and standing up for her during one of her conversations when Cassandra shows up to make fun of her, or by making Julia into a fanatic and agreeing with her when she makes the claim that you are stronger than Cassandra.
1: Cassandra will challenge you to meet her in the Dungeon for a duel the first time you talk alone. When you go there, she will offer to join your party if you pretend that you lost. Refuse the offer and duel her. During the duel, cast Boost on her instead of attacking her.
After casting Boost a few times, the battle will end, and you will get to choose what kind of cow you prefer her to be in her cow form. Cassandra will demand to be changed back immediately, and you are given the option to leave her as she is, or return her to normal. Choose to return her to normal, then cast Suppression instead to enslave her.
Slave Chatter:
There are several scenes that will play out at random in your bedroom if you have the right conditions met. These are the conditions:
1: You need to have enslaved Cassandra and have her in her Cow form, and you need to have enslaved Sarah and have her in her Tough form.
2: You need to have Val, Sarah, and Cassandra enslaved, and all in their normal personalities.
3: You need to have enslaved Cassandra and have her in her Maid form, and you need to have enslaved Val and have her in her Bimbo form.
4: You need to have Sarah enslaved and in her Needy form, and you need to have Julia enslaved and in her Fanatic form.
5: You need to have Cassandra and Julia enslaved, and both in their Normal forms.

New Monster Art
So, I was recently contacted by AbjectHaeresis, who played the game and wants to help out with some of the artwork. Although I have been gradually getting better, my art has remained amongst the weakest of my skills, so some help is certainly appreciated. So, we are starting to replace most of the monsters in the dungeon with designs of a higher quality.
Here are a few examples of the new monster designs coming up:
The Mature Slime
The new Tentacle Grape
And the Slime Girl
Abjectus' site is still under construction, so I unfortunately don't have a link to it right now. But if you want to take a look at more of their art, you can check out their Deviantart page here: http://abjectushaeresis.deviantart.com/

Cassandra's three forms
So, after some more tinkering, I've got the three forms for Cassandra's cow form finished. There will be a dialogue option prior to her taking the form where you can choose exactly how cow-like you want her to be.

0.16 Walkthrough
So, I've had a couple requests for a walk through. The game can be fairly non-linear at points, and some events are entirely independent of others, so it is fairly difficult to really make a walkthrough to cover everything. I am going to try my best to cover the paths that you can end up locking yourself out of though. There will be a lot of spoilers ahead.

Another Alternate Cassandra
Thanks for the feedback on the last post. This is the first form that's had a lot of variables, so it's hard to guess blindly at what you guys would like to see. Here's a new version of Cowsandra based on some of that feedback.
Cow Cassandra Update
I am working on improving the Cow form for Cassandra based on feedback I've gotten so far. So, here's the latest version I've put together. This one has larger breasts instead of two pairs, and more cow-like skin.

New character: Cassandra
Cassandra is mentioned in the current update in one scene. She will make her appearance in person in the next update.
Cassandra is one of the most promising students this year, and also Sarah's old team-mate. She specializes in Debilitating magic, and upon learning how in-demand her specialty is did not hesitate to dump Sarah in order to become more popular. She is seldom seen without an entourage of fans, and considers herself to be the most powerful student in the school.
Whether that is true, or a part of her over-inflated ego is up for debate.
Since she appears as an antagonist, I decided to go with some more humbling personality changes for if you decide to enslave her. One of her unique personalities is a maid, and the other a cow-girl with some horns and an extra pair of breasts as a couple physical changes to go with it.
I wasn't entirely sure what direction to go with her cow-features, since there are several styles (cow-pattern skin vs normal, horns vs no horns, single set of large breasts vs two sets) So, I picked more or less at random. If you happen to have any particularly strong feelings about the style, be sure to leave a comment or send me a message. If people greatly prefer certain features I can make adjustments before finishing the update.

Adventure High v0.16 released early
So, I was planning on releasing the next version of the game on the 26th, but unfortunately a super hurricane just popped up nearby. I don't think it's going to hit me directly unless it radically changes path, but I will be hit with some severe storms which could knock my internet out for a while since I have satellite. I don't know for sure if I will lose internet or for how long if I do, but I figured I would play it safe and post early rather than being late. You can play the new version now by clicking play now on the sidebar.
Here are the new features for this version of the game:
- 9 scenes for the first Heroic Plotline added
- Two new mental floors
- Two new monsters
- One new spell for Dan/Rosa
- Library scene for Enslaved Ms. Rack added
- LIbrary scene for Enslaved Julia added
- Game now has 3 save slots. If you press the import save button, it should save your old game file into Slot 1.
- Physical Magic fixed, now it ignores enemy defense properly
- Ailments have been tweeked to increase the duration based on the caster's power

Adventure High 0.16 on it's way 10/26/15
I managed to be pretty fast with this update; while this is probably my largest update yet, I managed to also finish it in the lowest amount of time from start to finish. Hopefully this means I am getting better... Anyways, here is a complete list of the new features coming up in the next version:

- Two new mental floors
- Two new monsters
- One new spell for Dan/Rosa
- Library scene for Enslaved Ms. Rack added

Progress on v0.16
The beginning of the month is usually fairly slow for updates since I generally try to get my artwork goals done early. I have been making some steady progress on the game though. So far, the following features have been added to the live version of the game:
- 3 save slots implemented
- 1 new spell added
- 1 new Library scene for Ms. Rack
- 1 new Library scene for Enslaved Julia
Also, as a little bonus, here is a preview of Julia's forms at the same resolution as in the game. (It is cropped in the game, however)

Working on V0.16
So, I've begun work on Version 0.16 since I have had no new bug reports in a little while. I have some good news for you all; I found a Stencyl Extension that allows for multiple save files. So, future versions of the game will allow you to save your game in one of three save slots rather than having only one. This feature seems to be working, and is already implemented on the live version of the game.
The only down side is that the new save function will not work with old saves. So, the next update will be one of the rare updates that will require you to start a new game unless I happen to figure out a way to import your old saves. If I do find a way, I will be sure to mention it.

Progress as of 9/7/15
Sometimes I don't feel like I have anything worth posting about, which can make the blog seem rather inactive. Since starting to keep track of my progress with the Live Updates though, it caused me to realize that I can probably make the blog more active by actually posting the progress that I have made so far. So, to start, here is a list of the content I have finished so far.
- Dr. Tiff's secret class implemented
- 5 new spells have been added, and can be learned via secret class attendance.
- 2 new dungeon floors
- 1 new enemy
- 1 new note
- 1 new Julia scene
- Julia's Intel now accessible

New Live Updates for Adventure High
So, I recently started playing a random game and they had what they called the 'unstable' version of the game. Essentially, every time something new is made for the next update, that version would include it immediately.
That got me thinking that I could probably do the same thing for Adventure High. So, Starting today, Patrons at the $3.00 rank or higher will have access to live updates. I'm not quite fast enough to have something new every single day, since I do both the art and the programming for the game, but every time I do finish something new, the live version will be updated immediately.
There will probably be slightly more bugs in the live version than in a new version release, but fixing bugs is always my top priority. So if you encounter any bugs or oddities, feel free to let me know about them so I can fix them right away.

Return of the Revenge of the Rise of the Bride of NSFW Content
So, some of you probably noticed after the last update that going to my blog once again gives that NSFW content warning. I included in the last update the first small bit of NSFW content in the game so far.
There will, however, be a lot more coming soon. Previous updates have been focused on introducing a new character, and then a couple scenes involving them and maybe another scene or two beyond that. Mostly, this is because creating a new character takes a lot more time than working with a character that is already designed.
This next update will focus instead on our existing cast. Each character will have several new scenes depending on how you have treated them, and if you decided to enslave them or not. New classes will be available, the dungeon will be even deeper than before, and the biggest addition will be getting to play with your conquests.
Here is a sample of the artwork from the scenes you will see when you play with Val, close to the resolution I intend to include in the game. Though, they may end up being cropped.
A much larger resolution version of all the images from the new scenes will be available to $3.00+ Patrons at the release of the game; and the full resolution version of this piece, and a couple of the new enemies are already available to $5.00+ Patrons. The full resolution image is roughly twice the size that you will get you expand this sample image to full size.

Adventure High 0.14 coming August 3rd
The Patron release of V 0.14 has already started. The public release will be on August 3rd.
New content for 0.14:
There is a new enslavable student character, Julia. She has a plan to graduate without stepping foot past the first floor of the dungeon, and she wants your help. You can choose to help her, or enslave her, though she could be useful to you either way.
Julia's new content includes her introduction and potential enslavement. If you choose to enslave her, she will become a playable party member, and give you access to her personality change sequences.
Sarah and Ms. Rack both have new conversations they may have with you, if you have met the right conditions.
You will be able to manage your party members from your bedroom by pressing Enter.

Julia
In the next update, the library will become available. As most of the school's focus is on the dungeon, the library is usually empty. Except of course for the occasional bookworm like Julia.
Julia is an intelligent girl, and generally dislikes putting herself into harm's way when it isn't necessary. With the school's focus on dungeon exploration to pass, she has begun scheming to find a way to graduate without stepping foot beyond the first floor with all the other students.
You can choose to help her with her plans, or you could always use the privacy of the library to bring her under your control and put her mind to better use...

0.13 is pretty much stable.
It's been a few days since the public release of 0.13, and I believe I've got most of the bugs worked out, finally. Still have a couple left to clean up but I'm getting there. There's something about a ton of people playing a game that manages to get all the bugs to show up that play testing as one person just doesn't seem to match.
This release was buggier than normal; what with having introduced probably around half a dozen spells between the main characters and the monsters, a persistent status ailment and buff system, building new mechanics to manage dungeon exploration, and having to almost entirely re-write the way battle works due to a few overlooked details and trying to plan for the future to avoid having to manually re-write bits scattered throughout the code for each new battle.
Lot of places for things to break. The last two days before release I wasn't even programming anything new anymore. I was just fixing bugs. While I did keep an eye out and fixed most of the reported bugs within an hour or two of them being reported, I think the most embarrassing thing was that not once, but twice I ended up forgetting to change the default values on a few stats for Sarah back to normal after testing something that required her to be a slave at the time, leading to her automatically being enslaved in new games.
With the core mechanics mostly worked out now though, hopefully future updates will have more content in them. Probably won't be able to get a new update within this month, as I spent a good third of the month with the game 'frozen' for bug fixes, but I am working on getting used to an increased workload with the next Patreon milestone getting closer.
Just 11 dollars to go until we reach the milestone where I will be doing one new update every month.

Adventure High 0.13 now available
I just finished uploading the next version and making sure it works properly. Your old save files should carry over to this new version. Though apparently there was a bug with the first battle which caused it to award much more than 100 EXP. I can't correct for that though since it would already have happened in the save. So, I guess if you are starting from a save file you'll have to suffer through being extra powerful. On fresh play throughs the bug has been fixed though.
You can get to the game by clicking on Play Now on the sidebar to the right.

Adventure High 0.13 coming 06/07/15
It's been a long couple of weeks of coding and bug fixing nearly every waking hour, but I've finally finished the new version of the game. It is available now for Patrons, and will be released publicly on the 7th.
So, what's new in this version:
1: The dungeon is now available for exploration.
2: Two new monsters have been added to the game.
3: New spells for The Player, and Val can be learned by using your old spells enough times.
4: Sarah joins in battles after you recruit her.
5: Added new UI elements to show status ailments and buffs in battle.
6: Stamina system added, casting spells will drain stamina, and resting restores it.
7: 2 new alternate enslavement scenes are now hidden in the game, one for Val and one for Sarah. Good Luck ;)
8: Introduction of Jane Smith, the Destructive Magic instructor, and her first class.
9: First scene of the main plot has been added, as well as the first scene of the harem plot.
Due to a bug I found that stopped Val from being added to the slave counter when enslaved in her first scene, you may need to start a new game in order to trigger the start of the Harem Plot.
And here is a preview of Jane Smith.

Original files back online
I have my domain back up, and it's been up all day, so I just switched the game file locations back to the original location. So, this should allow your old saves to work once again hopefully. So, if you've been holding back on playing due to the new location being temporary, you can play now without fear.

Temporary game is up
I've uploaded a temporary version of the game to another hosting site while the domain situation gets worked out. Since it will count as a new file, being from a new location, it won't be able to carry over your save file, but once the domain situation is fixed, the old version that does have your save should be back.

Temporary Hiccup
My domain that I had set to auto-renew expired on me, and I'm having difficulties figuring out why or how to get it back. I've been uploading the flash files to my domain, so while the blog is still up, the game won't load until the domain problem is fixed.
I am working as quickly as I can to get the problem resolved. I'll post again as soon as I have any useful information.

Improvements to Ms. Rack
I had said at some point earlier that I was planning to fix Ms. Rack's character model. I didn't completely redo her from the ground up; but I did manage to fix some of the bigger problems with her model; specifically her hair and hips. While I was at it, I also updated her shading with my new technique.
This change will be in the next update. As well, I am hoping that this time I will be able to make the Dungeon available. Been working on making and balancing new spells for both enemies and allies first though, so there is room to level up without immediately running out of new spells to learn.

Screenshots from the new version
With v0.12 coming out in a few more days, I decided to grab a couple screens from the new content. This is from one of the simpler paths; and the one intended to introduce the concept of casting spells during conversation. But, if you really want to play with her, you can actually enslave Sarah in a few different ways within this update if you choose to do so.

Version 0.12 coming soon
Version 0.12 is now complete, and it is currently available for Patrons (and anyone who becomes a patron) now since early access to the game is among the one dollar patron rewards. The public release will be on the 24th of this month.
It's taken about two months compared to one month for the last update, but I'm pretty confident this update contains more than twice as much content as the last one did. This update includes the introduction to Mr. Drape's Debilitating magic class, as well as your next party member and potential slave, Sarah.
It also introduces you to conversational spell casting and the temptation to abuse it on your new party member. It's not as straight forward as the situation with Val though; there are actually 4 different ways to go about enslaving Sarah depending on what you say to her, and when you decide to cast your spell.
Just like Val though; if you choose to put Sarah under your control, you will also be able to toy with her personality in your bedroom. Here's a preview of her current personality costumes.

New Character: Sarah
The upcoming update to the game will have more than just Mr. Drape added to it. Sarah will be joining the cast as well. As a student, she will be available to join your party if you want, and will also be fairly easily enslaved for the sake of introducing in-conversation spell casting.
Personality-wise, Sarah is an extremely self confident person to the point of being somewhat egotistical. Her self confidence is genuine, so she tends to lose her confidence when faced with a situation outside of her own ability to handle.
I have not yet made any of her alternate personalities and costume changes. So, if there is something you would enjoy seeing, feel free to let me know in the comments.

Plans for the next update
So, I have one character drawn so far for the next update, but that is not where I'm planning to stop. Assuming I can manage to keep up my slowly increasing drawing pace, I will be able to introduce two other characters. One of which will be available as a party member.
Also in the works; new spells, a spell focus system, and the Dungeon opening up for free exploration. You might have noticed when playing the demo that there was no MP. That is going to stay as it is. Obviously though, without a limit on magic, you would basically be able to start every battle fresh and the game would lose a good bit of challenge.
So, in order to combat that, my current idea is to have characters build up exhaustion gradually as they fight, which will have a negative impact on their performance in battle once it starts adding up to a higher amount. The reason I am going with this is that a straight up magic meter never felt quite right to me for magic users. It's an inflexible hard cap on how much power they can use before suddenly becoming absolutely useless.
On the other hand, a system that adds penalties gradually has more of a soft cap. You'll never have to worry about having 1 arbitrary point of magic too little to cast the spell you desperately need to cast. You can't just cast any spell you want without a care though; a tired party member will act slower, and their spells will lose power as they struggle to maintain their focus. It will be up to you to decide how tired is too tired.

Mr. Drape, and Blogger policy reversal
So, two things for this post. The first, is that Blogger decided not to implement their new anti-adult content policy. Apparently, enough people complained that they changed their minds on the change.
Have to say, it is quite uncommon for a large company to actually listen to user feedback when people say they don't like a new policy or change. Hope more companies start to do that.
In other news; I finished the dialogue image for Mr. Drape.
Mr. Drape is the debilitating magic instructor, and he specializes in magic that inflicts status ailments. Unfortunately for the player, and most of the school, he has tenure and doesn't see a problem with using magic as a form of discipline.
Not only is he strict about the school rules; but he also has his own code of conduct that he will enforce strictly on any student he catches behaving in a way he deems immoral. It's probably for the best if you don't let him catch wind of any of your... extra curricular activities.

Blogger Policy Change
So, I just got an email about 10 minutes ago or so, that is warning me of an upcoming policy change that may affect the blog... today.
Great work on getting that warning out ahead of time, guys! So, basically, the new policy goes from having specific restrictions on blogs containing adult content to forbidding adult content outright. There are exceptions for Art, Science, and Education, but that sort of thing is easily open to interpretation.
So, what will this mean for this blog? Well, not much really. While I had marked this blog as NSFW to be safe in the future, there is currently no adult content on the blog. Basically, I'm just going to switch it from a NSFW blog to a normal blog since the upcoming updates won't involve anything NSFW anyway. Eventually, I will need to make a new blog, but thankfully I'm not in an immediate panic to make any major changes in a hurry.
Personally though, I do not like the new policy change at all. It seems as though many corporations have been using the restriction of services to act as the internet's morality police. PayPal, for example, is one of the easiest, and accessible methods of payment on the internet... but cannot be used by the creators of adult content.
What does it matter to PayPal if someone is spending their own money on a chair, or a mature drawing? Adults should be able to make their own decisions, and spend their money however they like, yet companies with an exceedingly large amount of control over the free market make these rules that forbid behavior that is completely legal simply because they do not approve of it.
With Google; why the sudden change in policy? Makers of Adult Content were forbidden already from monetizing their blogs. Not just forbidden from using adsense, but actually forbidden from MONETIZING at all. The warning when entering an NSFW blog were more than sufficient from a legal standpoint. It seems to me like they wanted to get rid of adult content by making it inconvenient, and when that did not work, they decided to simply forbid it.
But, this is a free market. They can restrict their services however they like, and it's legal for them to do so. Ironic, isn't it? They are free to limit our freedom however they like. It's not like they control our laws; they just control the infrastructure which we all depend on.

Dr. Tiff Introduced, and new version coming soon.
Dr. Tiff is the Support Magic teacher in Adventure High, and is amongst the youngest faculty members. She also acts as the school's primary medical staff, since she is an expert in healing magic. So far, she has a flawless patient recovery record.
There is, however, just one.. little problem. Seeing someone suffering from an injury or illness tends to send her into a fit of rage! While few doubt her effectiveness, perhaps it might be doing the whole school a favor if you use your powers to improve her bedside manner?
In other related news, the next version of the game is currently available for Patrons and is ready for a public release on the 24th of this month. It will include an introduction to Dr. Tiff, some alternate costume dialogues for Val, and a few other improvements to the interface.

Alternate Costumes
Say there is a character who has spells you like to use in combat, but don't like the looks of. That can be a bit of a problem in an H Game. Well, what is the point in being an evil mind controller if you can't make a few changes to your slaves to make them more appealing?
These changes will of course be there to enhance the character you are starting from though; not replace them outright. So, each alternate costume will be based mainly on the original character, with certain modifications. In addition to being able to change their appearance, certain changes may also have an influence on the target's personality.
So, I put together a couple alternate costumes for Val. If you just like girls with nice large assets; using the boost spell on characters in conversation will help them grow more to your liking. If they don't successfully resist anyway. If Val's upbeat personality bugs you on the other hand, the corruption spell will certainly change her tune.
Since these will largely be based on spells you learn, this will mean you can unlock new ways to toy with your existing slaves as you progress through the game, rather than only being able to use your new spells on new slaves.

It's alive!
It's about an hour early from the 3rd, but I figured it would probably be a slightly better idea to set it up and launch the demo early so I can deal with any problems than to launch on time and then become late. Turns out, I did not have much trouble after all. I had to adjust the width on the main posts a bit to prevent the game from breaking the layout, but other than that, it appears to be working.
So, now you can play the latest public release any time by clicking on "Play Now" on the sidebar on the right.

Battle Screen
Here is a screenshot from the battle screen as it is so far. I am trying to keep the system both flexible and fairly simple. Since the focus is on magic, I figure it would hold you back to have MP in this system. Instead, when you cast a spell, you need to pause to recover before casting another. More powerful spells will require longer wait times, meaning you will need to decide when you want more power, or when you want more flexibility in any given battle.
Alternate color here.

The Demo Man
While thinking of an appropriate enemy for the first battle of the game, I mentioned my ponderings on #HypnoHub, and though I got distracted immediately afterward, when I looked back I saw a fairly unanimous agreement that I should make an explosives wielding character for just the Demo. Then call him, the Demo Man.
Eh, why not? Here's the Demo Man.

Greetings
Hello, and welcome. This is the first post of the blog, so odds are good that if this is the top post, the blog is still under construction.
This is a blog for development updates on the Mind Control themed game I am working on, titled Adventure High. The game takes place in a school that trains new adventurers to use their magical gifts to prepare themselves to venture out into the world to rediscover lost artifacts, and expand civilization back to the way it was before magic became commonplace.
The main character, however, develops a bit of an odd gift. The gift of Control. It will be up to you, as the player, to decide how they will use this power. You can work to become a pure, strong hero, or attempt to take over the entire school one victim at a time. Or anything in between. The main focus in the game will be around choice and temptation.
Gameplay will be split between two major styles. In the school, the game will play like a visual novel, while within the dungeon it will play more like a turn based RPG. Your party members will normally act on their own free will, but if you decide you would rather be the one giving all the orders, you can always use your powers to take charge..
I am roughly halfway to completing the first playable demo. Stay tuned for more information.
