It's that time again, time to announce the new features for the upcoming version of Adventure High. Update version 0.47 is finished, so here's what's coming up on the 20th:

ReplyDeleteThank you. I'm sorry, but that was really stupid. Locking a character behind a totally unrelated character's plot line was completely absurd and unintuitive. Not to mention that you specifically had to enslave a ghost, meaning if you just wanted to help the poor girl get her mind back you had to do something douchey to accomplish it. Preposterous.
I had intended to have it be this way from the beginning; that Ghost Mom would act as sort of a "hint" to how to finish the plot if she is still around, while you can still stumble upon her soul randomly if you are in the right place, but I didn't have time to write the other version and I lost track of it for a few months. I was reminded of it when doing a lot of the rewriting last month and made sure to make that change in this month's update.

Yeah, any debilitating spell that does not do damage has higher chances of landing, while those that are side effects to a damaging spell are the same.

I'm curious (because I only do the Submissive route once in a while), if you bring both Cass and Molly during that, will she auto cast that spell on Cass as to make her stop attacking Dan - or is that something you have planned to add at all? I'm curious.
I do have it programmed that Cass will not complain (and thus not punish) if she is affected by Be Nice. Next update I am planning to have Molly reflexively spend her turn casting Be Nice on Cassandra if she attacks the player.
DeleteThis comes with the usual caveat of "could just be my save file" but the berserker stuff wont continue if you do her last and find her without telling julia first.
ReplyDeleteSpecifically I am on the full control route with no other plot lines touched. I get angie and then started berserker and could only go on if I told julia first.
Possibly on the same note I can not get the floor 15 berserker thing to happen either but I did only spend about 10 minutes trying so maybe bad luck.
You need to inform Julia that you found Ashley, thus making Ashley appear in the streets so you can bring her into the party. Next, you need to reach a certain floor of the dungeon (I think it's the 10th), go to the Library and speak to Julia for a scene.
DeleteDuring said scene (if you're not dating Julia), forgive her and you'll meet Ashley back in the bedroom.
Head to floor 12 (again, I think it's that one) and speak to Julia again. She'll ask you to bring Jane to help you out. Do so and beat the Mind Berserker.
This time, I know for a fact you need to reach floor 14 to continue the plotline (where Julia asks you to come with her to the library). At that point, you can start searching for Ashley's soul (if you got Sarah's mom, you need to be on floors 12-15 for various scenes. If you don't, wait a few minutes on floor 15 and it'll trigger automatically).
TL;DR: You need to inform Julia to even *begin* the Berserker route (after you used Suppression on Ashley in the battle, that is).
I can not inform her and she is in "normal" mode. In order:
DeleteI hear the rumor.
Go to floor 1 and use suppression on berserker.
Talk to julie and only get normal options.
But if I hear the rumor, talk to julie and then go to F1 and supress, it works.
I think that if you heard about the rumor (through Dr. Tiff's room), you need to speak to Julia first. Don't quote me on that; I usually just decide "Hey, let's get Ashley" and roam floor 1 until she shows up.
DeleteYou don't have to hear the rumor about Ashley to spawn her to begin with; it's just a clue that she's present in the game.
After using suppression on the berserker, you need to talk to her in your bedroom before continuing on to talk to Julia about her.

ReplyDeleteThe new Sarah Home scene simply requires you to be on the Submissive route. I pulled it off as Dan by dating Sarah, starting the Submissive route and tagging with Sarah to her home.
DeleteThe new Julia scene, I'm not sure; I think I pulled it off by becoming Julia's slave and just speaking to Julia once Cassandra became my slave instead.
For the new Julia scene you have to finish fixing Ashley. Once you do that just go to the library and the scene should play, assuming you did all of her previous scenes already.

You get it by doing Sarah's Home plot while being on the Submissive route, same as always.
DeleteI did it by dating her as Dan, then starting the Submissive route, then agreeing to tag with her.
Been trying to save Ashley without GhostMom, but it isn't working.
ReplyDeleteDid you do the scene where Julia breaks down (after she "fixes" Ashley)? After seeing that scene, head to floor 15 and hang around for a bit (I think it's around 3 minutes; I went to the bathroom while waiting) and a scene will trigger where Ashley faints.

Your user name is the user name of your Windows profile. The .swf file directory is the file path where you saved the file, minus the drive letter.

If you're on the Submissive Route (and I think I was dating Sarah as Dan when I did this), there's an alternate scene where Cassandra uses Confuse on Sarah and a CG plays out.
