Progress Update for 12/25/21

Hey everyone, here's this week's progress report. 

I've been tinkering with Adventure High some more since last week. I have the item store redesigned in the live updates version of the game. 

The main things I have left to do are the redesigned enchantment store, the redesigned monster ranch, and the redesigned combat screen. I've been chipping away at it steadily, and hopefully the game will look much nicer in the next public release. 

That's about all I have for now, so I will resume working on the UI in the meantime.

Progress update for 12/17/21

 Hey everyone. Here's this week's update. 

I finished the new version of Spiral Clicker last week. The public release will be on the 20th, and it will include a new character and several new barn scenes. It also includes a fix for the crashing issue with one of the newer minigames. 

I've begun tinkering more with the UI for Adventure High. It's a slow process but I'm currently working on redesigning the item store. 

I think that's about all I have to mention at the moment. a lot of what I'm doing is just time consuming more than complex. I'll be continuing to work on it int he meantime. Hopefully I will have more of the UI functional before the next spiral clicker cycle begins.

Progress Update for 12/4/21

Hey everyone, here's this week's progress update. 

I finished the main menu in Adventure High. The spell menu within the main menu is still using the old spell icons for now which looks a bit awkward, but it's otherwise functional and is uploaded to the live version of the game. 

The update cycle for Spiral Clicker has begun for the month so I will be taking a break from AH UI stuff to work on Spiral Clicker. I got two new barn scenes added so far, and will be working on doing some tinkering to get the pokegirl minigame to be more stable since I have had a lot of crash reports related to it.

The third minigame is still in the gathering materials stage. The animations are taking longer than expected but I now have about 60% of the total materials needed to assemble it. Hopefully I will be able to implement that minigame within the next couple of months. 

That's about all the news I have for now. I will continue working on the content for this next update cycle.

Update for 11/26/21

Hey everyone. Here's the update for this week. 


I had a bit of a medical scare several days ago, which slowed things down a bit. Randomly and suddenly got hypothermia for no discernible reason and then had a headache for the next few days after that, so I had to take some time off to recover. 

I am back to working again now, and have resumed the UI work on Adventure High. I am very close to finishing the main menu. It was quite a lot of work that needed to be done in it's entirety before I could upload, since a half finished main menu would leave the game in an unplayable state. The main menu is essentially 5 pages; 3 main pages, an options page, and the save menu. It's probably around 90% done now and once it is I will upload those new UI updates to the live version of the game.

After that will be the process of updating little bits and pieces such as the arrows, character select icons and other small things before moving on to the remaining large pieces such as the battle screen, item store, enchantment shop, and monster ranch. 

That's about all the news I have for this week. So, I'll resume working on the UI for now.

Status Update for 11/20/21

Missed last week's update, I've been pretty severely buried code work to the point that I pretty much forgot to update anything for a while. So... Sorry about that. 

I have some exciting news though for Adventure High fans. The new UI has finally arrived. Which is a large part of why I fell silent; I've been buried in working on learning all the bits and pieces involved and trying to assemble it. I have a few examples to show here:


The loading screen will probably need a bit more tinkering, the save search box doesn't quite fit so I may make it something that pops out instead of always being on screen. 

The Live Updates version of the game already has the new loading screen. The new pause menu is still under construction. I'm halfway through designing the spells menu and then I will need to finish the inventory menu before I can upload that change. 

Anyways, that's about all I have for now, as this has been consuming my life. I will try to get my next progress report out on time. xD
