  1. >Cure Ashley plotline is complete.
    *Tears of joy*
(Been waiting for that for a while!)

I'm gonna go ahead and guess that, while you can enslave her, you lack the art for her alternate forms? (Given how none are listed, I mean. If I'm wrong - my bad!)

    1. Yeah, I don't have art for her other forms yet so I couldn't do her personality change sequences yet. D: Also don't have art for one of Ms. Racks' forms so she looks normal when in her last form.

    2. Ah, sucks to hear.
Nothing to do about it but wait and hope it'll be in the next version, then.

  2. >So many many scenes that play at earlier points of the game than my grinded-out savegame with everyone at hilariously high levels
Time for a re-grind from start, I guess
Also, don't expect bug reports from me this update - you're on your own here, SH. (I'll be out of country and AFK from the 20th onwards).

    1. Good luck, FF. I'll be missing you, fellow bug hunter.

  3. >Alternate ending for Cassandra/Sarahs dungeon plot added, you can use Charm to make Sarah fall in love with Cassandra
Question, have you also added any resolution and/or closure to the standard path where you cast confussion on Sarah to help her deal with the event's painful memories? As the scene is right now, the only thing you get is the lack of a "Failed" message when casting the spell.

    1. Yeah, I found the bug that causes that and fixed it.

    2. I'm guessing, to trigger it, you need to go Confuse > Charm? Would be weird if you could randomly use Charm on her and she'd go straight for Cassandra...

      Delete
    3. Yeah, you need to cast Confuse first, and then use Charm on that path.

      Delete
    4. Honestly, it'd make more sense Charm > Confuse ("Sarah, you're now charmed, and NOW you're also confussed about WHO you are charmed towards!").

      Delete
    5. @FF: Could also be that you initially use Confuse to clear her bad memories towards Cass (implied when this route was first added) and then use Charm in order to lure (in lack of a better word) her to go to Cass.

      Delete
    6. Well, if Doug ever gets terminally bored, he can write alternate routes and dialoges for the charm+confuse stacking ;-)

      Delete
    7. The reason you cast confuse first is that in the case of charming her, it weakens her defenses so you can do it with less resistance. Whether or not confuse is necessary to cast other spells kind of varies depending on how strong a person's defenses are, and what kind of mood they are in.

  4. Question about Ashley's cure plotline:
Will it be different scenes depending on what relationship I have with Julia, or is it always the same scene?
(E.g 1 scene for dating her, 1 for having her a slave, 1 for neither)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. There is one scene, which has variations based on several factors including dating or enslaving Julia.

"You can leave her as a piece of furniture in this scene, and reverse the order later."
So I'll go with "yes, there is".

    3. By art I mean like a transformation like doll Sarah, or would it be you ordering her to be still in a position?

      Delete
    4. Yes, I figured.
Still, it says "*Leaving her as furniture causes her to be visible in the bedroom."
So most likely artwork (splash art - as in, close up) and her being visible as furniture (similar to how you can see Doll Sarah in your bedroom if you made her a doll).

      Delete
    5. But most likely no 'actual' transformation.

      Delete
    6. There is no actual transformation by default. I am planning something with the Stone Skin spell you can do as an option later; first Caveman Doodles is working on a new image for the Stalker's plotline.

    7. Well good work takes time, any more ideas for inanimate tf's.

    8. >more ideas
      well... Google gives me this
"TIFF - Tradeindia International Furniture Fair.‎
World Largest Platform To Motivate Sellers & Buyers For Furniture Industry".
I'd say that the Internet hath spoken.

  6. (Decided to post here because it's the upcoming version).
I was doing a random run while setting stuff up for ver 0.38.
When I reached the Cassandra battle, she'd instantly say "What are you doing?" implying I had used Boost on her.
I had just cleared my cache (and I checked so that all previous savefiles were gone), so there's no chance of that being the case.

    1. I think I found the problem, so it will be fixed in the new version when it comes out.

  7. Question:
"Dying no longer results in the last save being loaded"
I'll assume that means you'll keep whatever EXP/Proficiency you gained before you died?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah, you'll keep EXP, Profiency, dungeon scenes, sigils and notes. Nothing will be lost when being sent to Dr. Tiff's office... except maybe a ding to your pride.

      Delete
    2. ...
And nothing of value was lost.

  8. Questions about the Sarah / Cassandra route alternate charmed ending:
-Does having Sarah be in love with Cassandra interfere with dating Sarah? (I take it precludes she dating you, I mean if you ara already dating)
-Does charming Sarah beforethat interfere with that scene?
-Will a future "date Cassandra" path interfere with this plotline?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Sarah's "love" variable, (which is -1 for rejected/breakup 0 for not in love, 1 for love, and 2 for charmed) is set to 10 for Cassandra; so making her fall in love with Cassandra will make her no longer be your girlfriend even if she has been charmed prior to this.

Cassandra is Poly, so she would not strictly be blocked off from dating if you do this, but it may cause her love plot to be complicated by it.

    3. OK. Makes sense for Sarah's personality. Of course, you realize that the "Cassandra is Poly" (https://raw.githubusercontent.com/wikitongues/poly/master/repo/polyPoster.jpg) statement yields her wide open to "but wasn't her a cow?" jokes, right?

  9. Question about the Berserker plotline:
"second scene occurs immediately after the first if you have enslaved Sarah's Mom" - what happens if I do the first scene, then grab Sarah's mother? Does it not work in that case?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It does not; What causes her to speak up is being present in the previous scene and realizing what the problem is. If she was not present, she won't know to speak up about it.

      Delete
    2. See? That's what I meant with "time to regrind".

      Delete
    3. Well, I already had a savefile where I had Sarah's Mother, so I just saved that one on all 3 savefiles and made 1 with normal Julia (non-date, non-slave), 1 where I slaved her, 1 where I dated her.
      So I'm good to go!

  10. Will Sarah react if you have Ms. Rack as furniture before you make her into a doll?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Not in this update; I didn't have time to finish it. Next update there will be a new scene for if Ms. Rack is furniture in your room.

  11. Oh right. I forgot to ask this earlier.
If I complete the Willing Slave Cassandra path, will that put me on the Tempted Hero path? (I'm asking about her as she's the only one at the moment you can get willingly without having to enslave someone first).

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Willing slaves don't put you on the tempted path. The basic rule of thumb is, if you use magic to change their minds, it'll count towards tempted/villain path. Magic to change the body, or manipulate them without enslaving them magically is safe.

      Delete
    2. Why does that make a perfect amount of sense despite the fact it probably shouldn't?

      Delete
    3. "You can be a hero as long as you don't technically brainwash anyone" :P Nah, it's because as far as the main plot goes, there is a difference between someone willingly being your slave, and someone walking around the school with a mind control spell in them.

      Delete
    4. Yeah, pretty much the argument I figured it was.
      Still, good to know.

  13. I'm curious, are you planning on expanding the MC's house at some point in the future? I know that the current play with scenes takes place in the bedroom, but it might be a fun idea to have your slaves all over the house (also useful in case you want to add more inanimate slaves).

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Later on, yeah. The bedroom is already crowded with two inanimate slaves so I'll probably need to add new rooms to allow for more slaves to be posed.

      Delete
  14. I *knew* there was something I forgot to ask (thanks for the help, brain. Or not):
To get the alternate Dr. Tiff 2nd class, do I have to start enslaving her with Jane and then stop Jane (agreeing to Dr. Tiff's deal) or do I just enslave her and it's settled regardless?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It checks for if she's under the effects of your "deal" with her, so you need to start enslaving her, then accept her deal.

      Delete
    2. So let Jane enslave her (first time), then stop her (second time). Got it! (Good thing I had a savefile right before that scene...)
