  1. Fresh-downloaded v.34, same savefile mentioned in the v.33 discussion, problem with Julia date persists. Much to ponder indeed.

  2. Starting with bugs. Cure Ashley plotline, talked with Jane and now talking with Julia, Jane appears and we enter Ashley mind. Jane's first two dialogs in that scene are jumbled.

    1. So is first of Rosa's lines when giving Ashley the book

(incidentally, I'll add any jumbled line I find as replies to this thread as I'm finding them)

      Delete
    2. Second conversation with Julia after giving her the book, ends with two empty dialog boxes for Rosa (always selecting to have Julia keep reading)

Talking with book-enslaved Julia after Ashley reads the book, selcting to get the book back, her first line after that also jumbled.

      Delete
    3. third Val conversation (the one where you can flirt her into a date), line right before "now that I'm starting to say it loud..." is an empty talk box. Also, line before that is jumbled.

  3. Enslaved Molly giving potions for free like crazy (current cost would have been 13,743,895,347,200 gems) no longer makes her hate you as it used to. Bug, or deliberate?

    1. So, I've tried several of the bugs you mentioned so far and I've been unable to locate the cause of any of them; for instance, several of the jumbed lines you mentioned are single line dialogues so there is no way for them to be jumbled unless the game thinks the progress variable is two different values at once. I am suspecting that your save file may be corrupt, considering your save also had issues with the date scene that SacredHell was able to do normally. Do you think you could try with a fresh save and see if that fixes any of the problems?

      Delete
    2. That was a fresh save :(

    3. tried again the Julia scene. Followed SacredHell's steps (enslave Sarah, do Val's submision and enslave her, enslave Erin, follow notes in order, date Julia) TO THE LETTER, taking as few extra steps as possible:
      - no saving/loading to rule out corrupt saves;
      - dind't talk with Julia at all after being able to get the "play with slaves" scenes (needed for the submission plotline), until it was finally the turn to date her;
      - made a point of getting the notes one by one (didn't get any until it was the time to give it to Julia);
      - did nothing but grind (no "play with slaves" scenes);
      - didn't even talk with Erin until it was turn to enslave her;
      - didn't talk with any teacher after the first two (also needed for the submision plotline).
      - Only "extra" steps that I could have avoided were, buying extra chakrams, plus I actually had Val's third conversation (skiped through). Incidentally, got the same jumbled line after empty box in Val's third conversation even if, as mentioned, it was a fresh-from-start playthrough.
      - When Julia called me on having three slaves, selected option 3 "don't need to".

      Result: http://imgur.com/a/QYxK1 (nothing!!)
savefile (right after the fact) for debugging: http://depositfiles.com/files/amx8ij8uz

If I had to wagger a guess, maybe there is some extra step that has to be taken to trigger that. :-((

    4. I've had jumbled text at the same points.

  4. Cassandra spell bug:
Upon obtaining Sludge, her 4th spell slot will have the Sludge icon (though no text and it's not usable).
Currently grinding to access her 4th spell and see if it'll replace Sludge (assuming I'll unlock it).

  5. ng4, heroic plotline, done Sarah's home, now in the date conversations; Sarah's image no longer appears. At all. I've got Dan basically dating his invisible friend (likely with all the rest of the school pointing and laughing at "the sucker that pretends to date an imaginary friend") ;-)

    1. correction: it's not just Sarah. Val's image in her own date scene also didn't appear. Until it apeared suddendly at the "So! Where do you want to go for our date?" line.

      Delete
    2. Yeah, it's sounding like the game's "speaker" variable is stuck on 0, which makes the other speaker's avatar invisible. That may be a result of a corrupt save. It doesn't happen a lot as far as I've seen, but when a save is corrupt all sorts of weird things happen to the variables.

      Delete
    3. This one might be a corrupt save since it's a ng+, but all the others are from a fresh new game. Including the savefile I posted in the v.33 conversation. Maybe you could take a lok at it.

      Delete
    4. Another possibility is that your local flash player might be having issues. You could try reinstalling it to see if that helps. I'll keep checking for the bugs you encountered to be safe, but so far I haven't found anything. I need to go to sleep for now though.

      Delete
    5. will try, even though it would be a VERY rare case of player issue if it played correctly all menu portraits instances but just that one. It would happen only if there were something different about that specific one - if that were the case, that'd be the most likely cause.

Saying that trying to be helpful, not trying to be "needy" ;-)

About the jumbled single lines, from my own experience, seems it *might* be a case of font wrap-around -a single line that in some computers is rendered longer and gets wraped over itself.

      Delete
    6. Stencyl doesn't wrap text though. Text will happily just go clear off the side of the screen. Which is how I get so many text jumbles in the first place; I have to manually set each line's starting coordinates and sometimes end up putting the wrong coordinates in out of reflex since most of the time characters only say enough at once to fill one line.

I am still trying to find what might be causing your issues though, I've just not yet had any luck finding anything on my end so far.

  6. Sarah in the hallway:
I told her I knew a healing spell (+affection), then used Grapple instead of Boost (+affection; she's now at 1 heart).
Not sure if it's intentional or a bug.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Grapple is meant to increase affection in that case. Sarah likes assertiveness and confidence; so once enslaved she considers it as an example of your character being more bold.

      Delete
    2. I've got a similar question. Does casting Conusion on Sarah, Val or Julia (without casting any other follow-up spell afterwards) affect their Trust and/or Affection?

      Delete
    3. Casting confusion on someone without using any other spell increases their obedience slightly.

      Delete
  7. Moving to another matter. After enslaving Ashley with the book (not by breaking her mind), she's not available at the library. Bug, deliberate, or WIP?
(personally I think she should be available at that point, if the book gave her the same kind of enslavement that it gave a free Julia - but that's just my opinion)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Yeah, that's deliberate. She is not yet fully enslaved at that point in the plotline but will be in another scene or two which will be in the next update.

  8. That Cassandra library image is gorgeous. Do you have any plan in updating the submissive plotline?

    1. Yeah, there will be more on the submissive plotline.

  9. Jumbled text:
Having Bimbo Val when finding the 3rd floor note (I enslaved her the first chance I got) causes Val's final text box to be all jumbled.

Another thing I've noticed a LOT in this patch: the text looks thicker, as if the same thing is written twice (once in the foreground and once in the background).

    1. Text is cut off:
Did a NG+ and chose Molly (to see her scene).
After Val gives the Protagonist magic again, the Protagonist says "I... Guess so?" and the line beneath is cut off. I think it's meant to say "I heard it all before anyway".

      Delete
  10. A very... Impressive bug. To say the least.
Did a NG+ to see Molly's scene as I said earlier.
Saved first chance I had. Didn't touch my party.
Had to reset the game because I forgot to do something.
Load my savefile. Says I have Val and Molly to choose to add to my party. I have Molly in slot 1 and no one in slot 2.
Starts as a normal NG. "The hell?" I thought to myself and shrugged. Thought I simply hit the wrong button and--- Wait, Val's blonde? And is 2nd tier affection (annoyed)? Uh... What?
    "Okay... NG+ transcrip--- Wait, no?"
    It's the NG transcript.
    Val's a bimbo.
I can't choose anyone to party with.
Val's 2nd lowest affection towards me.
...I have literally no idea how I pulled this stunt off.

    3. Went ahead with the Dungeon.
DEMOMAN is called BLUE FOOTED BOOBIE. Sprites are correct. Correct EXP is obtained (100).
I retained my level from my NG+ (14) along with all spells I had unlocked.
Molly is still possible to swap into my party, but 2nd slot is Val as normal.
I enslaved Val as normal. The regular scene plays out.
      Changed Val into a bimbo.
Can access the store by default. Entered and spoke with Molly. Crystalizer: Obtained (obtained pre-reset as well).
Have money from last playthrough (5k-ish).
Don't have to visit Jane's first class (goes directly to 2nd class).
Tiff's first class plays out as normal.
Drape's first class plays out as normal.
I have access to Dungeon Floor 7 (which is how far I got pre-reset).
Sarah is possible to enslave as usual in the hallway.
Retained the 4 Secret Notes I found (3/5/7/8).
      Enslaved Julia as normal.

      Delete
    4. Okay so...
      NG+
      Chose Molly again.
Nothing weird happened. Saved, headed into the dungeon (didn't bring anyone else). Grabbed first 4 notes (3/5/7/8).
Came to floor 10, grabbed note.
Out of habit from the past 4 times, I fast-forwarded until I realized it was a scene I hadn't seen before.
Exited to the menu, loaded savefile and... The bug happened again.
Val's annoyed at me, she's a bimbo, normal NG transcript.
First time, it was when I played on the online version. Second time, I tried DL'ing it.

I have legit no idea what happened.

Also, in the downloaded version, the DEMOMAN is now called SKULL SLIME (which wasn't even the last enemy I fought - that was a Slime Girl).
After killing the Demoman, nothing happened. The fight simply wouldn't end.

Like the previous time, I retained spells and level.

      Tried reloading the savefile AGAIN.
Val this time started at 1 heart affection, but she's still a bimbo and I still couldn't finish the fight. It's also still called a Skull Slime.

      Delete
    5. Ok, so, the way I figured out how to do NG+ was to have the game make a special save when you first load the game, so all the default variable values would be saved, and accessible when the newgame plus becomes available.

I went over the code just now and found that there were a couple of ways that my safeguards against the game accidentally saving again when exiting to the menu could fail; which would result in the game being tricked into saving mid-game progress as the new default. This can be potentially fixed if you have a pre-NG save file available, close and open the game to cause it to save the default values, then doing a NG+ without going back the menu in that session.

I'll have a fix uploading in a few minutes though with better safeguards. Hopefully that fixes some of those issues. If not I'll have to probably ask on the stencyl forum if there is a better way. xD

      Delete
    6. Gonna try it out now. Will post update and see if it'll happen again. (I'll have 1 savefile right before I start the NG+ and another one for after NG+).

Side-note: during a NG+ if you enslaved Val and she's in her normal personality, during the library scene (despite looking like a bimbo), she'll be in her normal self. Is that a bug or intentional?

      Delete
    7. Okay, did a savefile literally right before I got to NG+ and went ahead with NG+.
Chose Molly, saved, exited to title, loaded savefile and the NG transcript plays again. Val's a pissed bimbo.
Went ahead and DIDN'T enslave her. Demoman has correct name and dies from Burst and/or Hurt. Story advanced as normal.
Loaded savefile again, chose to enslave her, Demoman is still correct name and dies from 1 shot.

      So that's a bonus.
Good thing I made the savefile for NG+ in advance.

      Delete
    8. So, it's working properly now then, from what it sounds like? That's good xD

      Delete
    9. Except that the game still treats it as a NG, yes, it works.
At least now, I won't get stuck in an unending battle against an invisible enmy.
Still, I have Molly to swap in (somehow) so I'm gonna go ahead and treat it as a NG+.

    10. Bug seems to be fixed (or fixed itself):
Got to 10th floor, saw the scene from the note (yes, I can agree with both Dan and Molly on this scene...)
Went to Ms. Rack's classroom, accidentally fast forwarded (I didn't think Molly would say anything during this scene).
Loaded a savefile - voila, it NOW treats the game as a regular savefile (meaning I won't have to sit through the NG transcript again).
Maybe has something to do with the fact I got far enough into the dungeon?

      Regardless, I'm glad it's fixed.

  11. I think I found a bug that wasn't mentioned elsewhere, during the book scene where Ashley can be mind controlled. If you decide to not enslave Ashley and give the book back to Julia the conversation loops back to the start of the scene.

    2. I think I found another problem, if I press the spacebar during some of the dialogue sections it automatically chooses option 1.

    3. I know what causes that to happen; do you remember which scenes it happens in so I can fix them?

      Delete
    4. After letting Julia enslave herself with the book, when she requests to keep researching it this problem happens. I'm pretty sure it happens elsewhere but I can't remember where else. Also, when during the battle in the cure plot as Dan the game locked up after defeating the berserker. The turns progressed but the battle didn't end.

      Delete
    5. I've got that first thing fixed, I'll try to see why the battle didn't end properly and get that fixed too.

  12. The walkthrough has not yet been updated. Has anyone managed to get the new Cassandra scenes and plotlines?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Book plotline: Yes. Cassandra scenes and other plotlines: Nope.
      For the Book plotline:
Get Ashley (don't enslave her nor Julia).
When Julia sends her home, grab Ashley. Talk to Julia and she'll tell you to speak to Jane.
Do so and you'll fight Ashley in her mind (warning: you have to defeat her, she has 1k HP and you need to deplete her HP to win. I suggest you bring Molly if you're low leveled due to Group Heal).
Once you're done with that, head to the store. There's a new item for sale (which costs 10k). Grab it then speak to Julia.
When talking to her, give her the book (you do so by going to the spell menu and choosing it).
She'll now begin reading it. Talk to her again and she'll say she's almost done with the book. Let her continue reading it to advance the plotline. Speak to her again and let her finish reading it.
Next, head back home and speak to Ashley. She got the book from Julia and is now 'reading' it (she can't really read it).
Both of them are now your slaves (you cannot change Ashley's personality, but you can Julia. Julia's default sprite is now the slutty one).
That's as far as I've gotten (and I think that's the last one at the moment).

      Delete
    2. Same here. Tried activating Cassandra and not talking to her; nope. Tried cowing her and being nice instead of having her my willing slave; also nothing. Will now try following the Cassandra-Sarah path and NOT talking Cassandra out of using potions, to see if she decides to use love potions instead.

      Delete
  13. Right at the start, if you tell Sarah that her magic is a big deal she gets angry, and if you doubt if she's telling the truth she gets more friendly. Shouldn't be the other way 'round?

Probably why (she wants the Protagonist to show that s/he is assertive and not just going with 'yeah sounds about right').

      Delete
    2. Yeah, she's not big on yes-men. That is not to say she likes it every time you are mean to her either; as she likes it when you heal her but strongly dislikes you refusing to help her when her ankle is twisted. Basically, you want to make choices that show that you aren't a pushover without actually going so far as to be mean or cruel.

  14. I just got the doll plot with charmed Sarah (charmed in her mind after mom plotline, scene appeared after dating her NOT ending in make-out). Bug, or deliberate? I ask because in v.33 charming Sarah blocked the doll scene.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I did not make any changes to the requirements for that scene in the last update. Honestly it's sounding more and more like your variables are all mixed up still. Your standalone flash player may be having an issue running the game.

      Delete
    2. Will try replicating my steps with a browser-based player. It was... amusing, to see a charmed Sarah asking to be dolled.

      Delete
    3. I fixed a bug earlier that could have caused some variable issues duing a NG+; it's possible that may fix some of the problems you are having.

      Delete
    4. just for the record since you likely already fixed it, I was able to consistently get the same result with a few browsers and players, from up-to-date to hopelessly outfated (which seems to preclude a problem with an specific player).

In all the cases, was a freshly-made ng+ (not a savegame - load a ng+, go straight for the bimbo ending, continue with a fresh ng+) without any saving, which seems to preclude problems with corrupted savefiles. Always, charming Sarah in the hallway worked as expected in preventing the doll plot. The unexpected result happened ONLY in ng+ following the "tempted hero" path and charming Sarah in her mind. Specific gameplay details other than that seemed irrelevant.

Given all that, and how getting a "charmed doll Sarah" seems to be linked to a DOUBLE ng+, I'm even willing to consider that a feature instead of a bug. ;-)

In another matter, is there any possible storyline (preculding bugs or weirdness) that can yield a charmed, enslaved Val? I mean, because of the walkthrough info on slave chatter which seems to mention charmed slaves. Or do charmned-yet-unslaved girls randomly drop in the protag's room to chat with the harem? ;-D

      Delete
    5. Well, if the problems only occurred when exiting to the menu, then probably it was caused by the thing I fixed last night. Fingers crossed though. xD

At the moment, I am not sure of if there is an instance where you can enslave a charmed character, or vise versa. When a charmed character shows up in slave chatter, they are only required to be charmed.

      Delete
    6. So they DO drop unexpectedly in the protag's room to chat with the live-in harem XDDD

  15. Bugged HP on enemies?

Worked on efficient leveling spots for various levels.

Got down to Flower Girls (floor 12). Julia's intel says they have 600 HP.
Dan casts Trip (341; 259 left). Sarah casts Fire Strike (378).
They are, in fact, not dead.
"Weird," I thought. Killed them with another Trip (276).
    Rested up, fought them again.
Sarah goes first with Fire Strike (371; 229 left). Dan uses Trip (341). Still not dead. Used another Trip and NOW they're dead.

Not sure if the HP is bugged or something else.
This was done on a regular NG without the legendary code.

like Dan/Rosa's Possession spell, I don't think you can get the story event that gives that if you're on the Faculty/Student Control Path

I MIGHT have been a little biased on one or two of them but eh... It's not something you should worry about.

Also, not a bug but an obvious WIP - she still keeps talking of being at the store in all her room talk even after being fired. Kindly fix that in next revision - it literally breaks my heart to have poor Molly having her former minimum wage slave job as the center of her life to such point that she still talks as if she was doing it.

    2. minor bug in the last Cassandra-Sarah plot conversation, when Sarah talks about her memories. Was trying to wait for the last line she says before using the Confussion spell. Couldn't, because the red square that usually marks the last line of the conversation didn't appear - just the green triangle. Made me reload and retry.

BTW, bit of sugestion? - make the Sarah-Cassandra scenes appear more frequently. It's quite a bit of grinding to get all the plotline.

    3. You can literally just stay still and it'll trigger; whenever I want to see them, I go to Dungeon Floor 1 and go AFK or do something else while waiting.

Though yes, I do agree the wait is a bit boring (originally, I just entered the dungeon and the first one would activate right at once).

    4. trying THIS time to refuse talking with Sarah, Cassandra just insists and insists getting me to same dialog. Even tried casting Confussion (or even Grapple) on her to make her STFU. Idea for next version, maybe? (for players who want to be jerks)

    5. aditional bugs in that scene. When character is saying to Sarah "No. She used a potion to turn into a...", character pic and relationship icon are Cassandra's instead, followed by a line of correct icon but no character pic by two lines.
Also, I get no special dialog after casting Confussion on her specific line (at all other cases I get "Failed").

    6. I think I got all of those fixed; if I missed any, let me know. As for the timer for new conversations, it's a delicate balance between being so fast that it is disruptive and too slow. I might adjust it more, but I am aiming for at least a little delay between one scene occurring and the next.

Cassandra's 4th spell is similar to Sarah's Glacier spell from last version (skill has no name and no text description; instead it's jumbled with the Sludge spell).

  25. So I've been trying WEIRD combinations for the 3rd floor note scene to test it for, well, weirdness. I've found that (for example) hitting it with a Needy Sarah and dating Val starts the submission plotline's first two scenes (not a bug since the plotline doesn't follow more than that, as expected - you explained me that plotline). Trying with a charmed Val (middway in the tempted hero plotline) gives no scene, which also fits.

But here's what gets WEIRD. Trying in the same plotline with normal Sarah and Val charmed IN HER MIND, RIGHT IN FROINT OF SARAH, done right before Sarah leaves the party, gives you the scene of Sarah freaking out that Val is a slave. Hello, goldfish memor-oh, shinny!

Then, we got entering a enslaved Sarah's mind and enslaving her AGAIN.
I'm under the slight impresion that this is not the result you intended.

I humbly sugest adding a block to that note's scene of not giving the "let's have Sarah freak out" if Sarah already KNOWS Val is a slave - which would remove all the weirdness.

    1. Yeah, I'm thinking I'm going to have to redo all the code in that scene in the next cycle to get it to work right. It's gotten to be a bit of a mess trying to update it.

    2. just FYI, I just tested Val doesn't have goldfish memory. Boosting Val, then enslaving Sarah, then going to the first doesn't give a Val freak-out.

  26. I have a question about Sigils:

I was messing around and wrote down a leveling guide for myself (without the legendary code).
For some reason, I decided to ignore the floor 4 Sigil and headed straight to floor 7. I activated the Sigil there, grabbed the note and got out.
Headed back into the Dungeon and planned on activating the floor 4 Sigil in case I planned on doing the Monster Taming quests, but I ended up already having the 4th floor Sigil unlocked.

    Intentional?

  27. I just noticed that getting the requirements for Val's white shirt scene (heroic plot first conversation), but not having done Val's second normal conversation (leg warmers) yet, causes Val's icon to appear in the hallway but be NOT working until said conversation is done.

I dunno if not being able to start that plotline until after doing Val's second conversation is intentional or deliberate, but I dare to bet that a not-working icon appearing is a bug (be it the bug the icon appearing, or the icon not working).

  28. To fix something that really irritates me: make it so that after you enslave doll Sarah, you can freely swap back to her flesh form via another boost spell, able to easily change back. Cause, it irritates me that it won't let you change her form after enslaving her via the doll bit.:\

  29. Doug Byrd, I noticed in the comments from Newgrounds that you are open to suggestions. There is a feature of the game that is actually more annoying than nice, and it actually seems to cause errors for some players. I dare to suggest you to dispose of it in some future revision.

I mean the portrait of the spell menu that only appears during conversations when you can cast a spell on someone. To me it's disruptive because it's, well, a sign that you're (or not) "supplanted" to cast a spell on. Since part of the fun is to notice when what the other character says asks him to cast something, it seems redundant.

Making the portrait permanently "up" would also eliminate any errors related to the menu that have been reported.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The menu only being available when a spell can be cast is mostly a courtesy thing. Eventually, my plan is for you to be able to cast most of your spells in every scene, regardless of if it would be a good idea to do so. But that takes a lot of time to write and I want to be able to make progress through the plot so I've been writing only a few outcomes for major scenes for now until I get the main plotlines finished then will flesh out more spell outcomes.

In the meantime, until I do have spell outcomes written for every scene I have the spell menu only appear when I do have at least one spell outcome written so players don't waste time trying to cast spells during scenes where nothing will happen.

    1. If Jane is not your slave when doing the new part of the Berserker Cure plotline, it will lead to a new scene where she "wants" you to sign a magical contract to use a spell of her choice at a later date. It's not in the walkthrough yet because it doesn't lead anywhere yet.

Don't manage to. Even if I talk to Sarah in tough form and Val in goth form (the two I've noticed that treat Rosa as Molly), I still don't get the bad end. How did you manage todo it?

  33. During a NG+, if you choose Molly to join the party by default and then do anything that requires Jane's secret classes (at present time, I have tried enslaving 3 people; Sarah, Val and Julia, in that order), she'll act as if she never met you. Which... Is weird. As I literally chose you because I couldn't choose Sarah (wish I could) and because I hate Val (no offense intended Doug; I just really struggle with liking her).

...Now I'm curious as to what happens if Molly joins me saving/enslaving someone in their mind...

    Time to test that out!

    1. Yeah, I haven't had time to write more of her presence further into the game from the beginning. Will try to write alternate scenes to include her in the next update. Also, no worries about disliking Val; I don't expect people to love every character xD

    2. You might also want to add that for the item store if you go in there and have brought her into the dungeon at least once.

    3. Okay, so I've found 2 bugs:

FIRST: For some reason, Group Heal will randomly get the Rest icon. I have no idea why this happens (the spell still functions as normal).

SECOND: I'm not sure if it's intentional or not, but I did a NG+, went Heroic Route, used Boost on both Sarah and Val but for some reason, the scene in Drape's classroom won't trigger.
I even did all 4 of Jane's classes (reinforced Dan's nature) and tried floors 10 (like the guide says), 12 and 15 (due to having Sigils). None of them would let me trigger the next scene.

    4. I always get the Rest icon, and randomly I get a "rest someone else" spell instead with the same icon, only (but not always) in her first chance per combat of casting magic.

I had gotten them from Commonly.CC; which was a site that used to do this thing where they would raise funds for the artists/musicians and when the goal was met they would release some of their work to public domain. 36. Decided to check out the 'talk to Sarah in the street' scenes (I was curious as I had only done that one with normal Val once).
Is it intentional or not that Slave and Bimbo Val has the exact same dialogue? (This was on a NG). I just find it kind of weird if it's intentional (given her completely different personality).

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. I don't think that would be intentional, but I'm not sure which scene you are referring to exactly. Do you mean the one where Sarah attempts to get revenge on you for not helping her, or another one?

      Delete
    2. If you refuse to heal Sarah in the school, then meet her in the street, both normal slave Val and bimbo Val will cause this scene to trigger:
Val: Hey! Leave my friend alone!

      Sarah: W-What.. D-Did you d-do t-to me...?

Val: It's just a freeze spell, that's all.

Protagonist: Maybe I was a bit rude; but Sarah, you can't just go fireballing anyone who gets under your skin!

If you decide to enslave Sarah:

Sarah: W-What are you... D-Doing to.. me..

Protagonist: I'm making sure you will behave yourself in the future.

Sarah: N-No... Please... Val, you c-can't let him... D-Do this to me...

Val: Sorry, Sarah. If this is what he wants, I have to help him. You'll understand what I mean soon...

Sarah: W-What?! F-Fuuck... Y-You did this to hear too... D-Didn't you??

Val: Um... yeah... he kinda did. Don't worry, it's not too bad! You really won't mind it afterward!

      Delete
    3. And found another problem with the dialogue:

During the slave chatter between Tough Sarah and Mindless Cassandra, this scene happens:
Sarah: It's good to see you put in your place.

      Cassandra: Yes, Ma'am.

Sarah: And what is that place?

Sarah: To serve Master, however he desires. (It should have been Cassandra, but both the picture and the name reads 'Sarah').

Sarah: Good. Don't expect me to be lenient on you either.

So... Basically Sarah was talking to herself at that point. It was weird.

    4. I have a fix for both of those uploading on the live version now. It will be fixed in the next public release.

    5. Neato.

Also, there's a typo in Cassandra's slave selection: for some reason, it'll say "Milkinig" if she's in her Mindless personality instead of "Milking". All others (that I've seen) have had 0 typos (it's minor, but I figured I'd point it out).

      Delete
    6. Ah ok, I'll get that fixed as well.

    7. So apparently, Erin is Molly...
I wanted to see all slave chatter, so I changed characters around (I had most enslaved).
If you change Erin from MINDLESS to COUNTRY, it'll say (in the final line of dialogue, when she says "I am a slave, Master") that it's MOLLY that speaks.

Also, if Dan/Rosa is chosen during Dr. Tiff's second class, in the final line of dialogue ("Alright, the rest of you practice what you just saw on yoru own."), it'll say it's Dan/Rosa rather than Dr. Tiff. The "yoru" typo is also present.

Hopefully last things I'll find before the new update... Hopefully.

  37. ...So, remember what I said about probably no more bugs?
    Sarah turns invisible.
    That's a thing.

    Here's what happened:
Did Heroic Route, saved Val's mind (used Boost).
Grabbed Cassandra (beat her up, then used Boost; didn't seem to affect the Affection towards me but w/e).
Met Sarah in the street (Stone Skin spell dialogue). Used it on her. Went on a date with her.
During the date, I chose to comment on the lake twice. She invited me to her house (I didn't use Charm on her during the date).
After the date, I got beat up.
Used Suppression on her mother (not sure if that places me on the Tempted Hero path but... Well, que sera, sera.)
Went to speak with Sarah at the lake. For the first few lines of dialogue (until I could choose what to say to continue the dialogue), Sarah's sprite didn't show up. It did, however, show up as normal after that.

I forgot if this was mentioned before - if so, sorry! And if not... Well, now you know about it.

    1. Okay...
Chose not to show Sarah her mother during the lake scene.
Went to the school to advance the story.

Once I met her inside her mind, her sprite showed up as normal again.

  38. In the Newgrounds "clean" v.34 version there are available ten medals, in the "updated" version there are none. Not sure if bug, Newgrounds' fault, or deliberate. Anyway, playing the v.34 version offline I get tho trigger two of said Newgrounds medals ("backstabber" and "new hero"), but not the other 8. Most definitely there IS a bug here -either 8 that should appear yet don't, or 2 that do appear yet shouldn't.

    1. Gotten the "Backstabber" achievement a ton of times when playing offline or on the NG version, but they still won't unlock for me (and I've tried 3 different browsers!)
At this point, whenever I see it, I just think "Oh right, there's medals" before resuming whatever route I'm on.

      Delete
    2. Yeah, it's a thing with Newgrounds, they decided to stop allowing medals on adult games, so medals are disabled on the adult version. For most of the medals I made a if/then to make them only try to trigger on the clean version, but Backstabber can occur in several different spots so I might have missed a few of those. xD

    3. You seem to have missed only three places. Places where Backstabber still triggers for me: Sarah at the hallway, Cassandra right after cowing her. Also, as mentioned, New Hero still triggers.

  39. Forgot if this was mentioned. If so: ignore it.
If not: during the Mysterious Book plotline, if you choose "Get the book back" (when Julia is in her slutty personality), there's a line of jumbled text (and I think it says both the Protagonist and Julia are talking at the same time...)

    ReplyDelete

    1. And I just found out something else:
If you do the Mysterious Book plotline, when Julia changes to her permanent Slutty personality, she'll always have that sprite (regardless of personality). Not sure if it's intended or not.

      Delete
    2. I bet it's intentional. I'm not very fond of it, because then you lose the capability to see other sprites, but I bet it's intentional.

      Delete
    3. The text jumble sounds familiar so I might have fixed it in the new update. As for the costume change; it is a permanent change like the cow form for Cassandra can be. The NG+ costume change on the other hand only affects her normal personality.

Also, what's the damage value for Ashley's Rapid Punch?
When I was fighting her (mind version), she kept using Rapid Punch. It kept saying "It hit 0 times" (so I took 0 damage).
...THEN she used Slam and dealt 300+ which was a OHKO on everyone that was struck by it...

  40. See, this is the result of me being bored...

I decided to see how long I could make a single playthrough, but STILL reach an ending (either NG+ or a Bad End). Here's how it went:

I started the playthrough as normal. Did Heroic Route until I saved Sarah's mind. Once done, I did all of Jane's personal lessons. Molly joined my team from the first lesson.

After this, I went ahead and dated Sarah (and managed to obtain the Bubble spell). I decided to get Possession for Dan as well (because why not?)
Managed to escape from Drape (in your face, old man!) with Val/Sarah.

After the date, I started the Doll plotline. When I transformed her back, I also enslaved her.

I had (intentionally) skipped the 3rd floor note, so I changed Sarah to Eager to Please and started Val's Willing Submission.

Went ahead with that one to the end and remembered I should probably turn in all notes to Julia. Done so.
I went ahead and dated her (I didn't expect that to work). She tells me about her sister, so let's get this started...

Found Ashley (I spent 10 min straight on floor 1. And I was level 19!) and brought her to Julia (I had to swap out most of my team due to being too strong; I ended up just using Dan and Molly to beat her).

Started the Mysterious Book plotline, went ahead with as far as I could on that one and...
Remembered I hadn't changed Val to a Bimbo yet. Let's do that now!

Did that. Spoke to Ms. Rack and did all her scenes (until the one right before the Bimbo World ending).
At this point, I was just thinking "What else could I possibly squeeze in just for shits and giggles?"
    ...Oh right. Monster capture.
Changed party so I had Ashley and Molly (because everyone else was too strong for me to capture them).

Completed that, enslaved Erin (out of boredom at this point).
And... Wait. Cassandra? I haven't enslaved her? And she has a willing submission plot?
    LET'S DO THIS.

Changed Julia to fanatic (was weird seeing her as fanatic in her slutty personality but eh...)
Met with Cassandra, did the Willing Slave Cassandra route...

...Just to realize that I hadn't made Molly a succubus. Out of boedom, did this (I had a lot of Gems lying around from a lot of grinding).
    Completed that one...

...And finally rounded it all up with the Bimbo World end.

In other words, I completed 9 (7 if you don't count Monster Capture and Succubus Molly) routes in 1 single playthrough.

    Boy I was bored...
    (Was totally worth it.)

Now I'm just a bit disappointed I won't be able to use this savefile when the update comes.
Oh well. Was still fun to see how much I could pull off.
(I could have pulled off the Faculty Control route, but that'd force me to reach a Bad End somehow, so I skipped it).
